About the Wellness Doc…

Dr. Melanie Dias-Zair was inspired by health and wellness since her early teenage years when she would frequent nutrition stores and buy health magazines. Her first gym membership was purchased as soon as she reached legal age to do so. Her passion for the performing arts led to a professional dance career and a self proclaimed obsession of fitness. But she suffered through high school and university with headaches and later migraines. After countless visits to the doctor (and countless prescription  and over the counter meds) a friend introduced her to chiropractic. For the first time in her life, a chiropractic intern not only resolved the pain naturally, but explained how her health was impacted by nerve interference and how her lifestyle stresses contributed to her condition. She was sold!

Today she is a wellness chiropractor in Glendale, AZ along with her husband, Dr. Phil Zair and strives to empower as many as possible towards true wellness and a better quality of life. They own and operate Living Pure Chiropractic and lead a team of qualified natural health professionals including massage therapists. Their practice also has a blog that announces services and community events.

Dr. Melanie has completed (and is continually studying) several post graduate courses in nutrition and technique. She is certified in the Webster Technique which helps pregnant women achieve a balanced pelvic alignment to allow their babies to get into the best possible position for a healthy natural birth. Her primary focus is in prevention and sports injuries, fitness and nutrition. Besides chiropractic and wellness. she is passionate about the environment, children and animals and yoga. She finds time to exercise, run, hike the beautiful Arizona mountains, and blog. Dr. Melanie recently started a blog as a tribute to their dog, Palmer who passed away from renal failure in April 2011. She shares their experiences and tips which helped him live a long comfortable life without the use of medications and surgery.

Her mantra comes from Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the Change You Want to See in the World”  and she tries to live by this every day.

This is her blog where she speaks out on several  issues that continually confuse the general public. Welcome to her blog.  Be inspired.  Be Empowered. Make a Change.
